Rory's truths
Learning from a multiple champion
Some great and wise words from the double Masters champion last week.
He spoke about the need to "focus on the process, not the prize". This is the essence of One Shot at a Time, of Mindfulness, of staying in the present.
Then after his win, he declared that he had been looking at the Masters win as "a destination point" (to complete the career grand slam) rather than "just another step on his journey" and was thereby putting too much pressure on himself. Interestingly, "there is no destination" he said. It's all about making one step after another and seeing where it takes us.
It was a phenomenal victory and a fascinating Masters. -12 for the first 36, par for the weekend. Scheffler came second by 1, par for the first 2 rounds, -11 at the weekend.
